Emergencies in the Home

Emergencies in the Home

Do you know what to do if you have an emergency at home?

You probably think you will know the number to call and what to say, but in times of great stress you never know how you will respond...

It may be a good idea to put the emergency telephone numbers next to the telephone where, if you need it, you can refer to it quickly.

If you dial an emergency number you will need to give your own details - would all your family members know these details in an emergency?

Prepare this information today and place near the phone; it will make life easier –
should the need ever arise. Do it now. Better to be prepared!

Microchips for Dogs

From the 6th of April 2016, all dogs must be microchipped and registered to an approved database by the time they are 8 weeks old.
For every dog that is currently not microchipped, you will have until 6th of April to get them microchipped and registered on an approved database.
If a keeper of a dog which is not microchipped gets served with a notice requiring them to have the dog chipped, they will have 21 days to do this. There is a fine of £500 for dogs who are not chipped
As well as becoming a legal requirement, getting your dog micro chipped gives you the assurance that should he (or she) become lost (or be stolen) he is more likely to be returned to you safe and sound.
